Source code lost Empty Source code lost

Well...this is embarrassing.

THE SITUATION

November 16th, 2015, Stryke did a system reset to gain some disk space and ended up losing source code for the projects he was working on at that point in time.

This includes, but may not be limited to:

Malus Containment
RhythmRun
Sled Game (test project)
Witness Protection

Strangely, the last time he did a system reset like this, it kept certain files he opted to keep. Not this time, sadly...

THE BAD

All of these projects will have to be re-written from the ground up.
For Malus, that's a good thing (see THE GOOD) but for Witness Protection and RhythmRun, it's a pretty big hurdle.

RhythmRun, from what I played and saw, was extremely impressively polished...and it's a shame that Stryke lost everything he worked on for it.
He was in the middle of updating it, too. It would've been really great, I tell you.

For Witness Protection, we lost a WIP map Stryke was working on, as well as the entirety of the source code.
I'm not sure how the codebase was, but Stryke seems to be alright with re-writing it.

THE GOOD

I have a backup of the Malus Containment source code.
However, Stryke is happy to re-write Malus entirely, as he claimed the old code was a mess and was the reason he put it off for so long.

Before the reset, Stryke gave me a "preview" build of the latest RhythmRun.
I haven't been able to run it for some reason (process sticks around, not opening, can't be killed) but it's good that his changes have been sort of "immortalized."

We also haven't lost any vital art or sound assets. I think the only ones we lost were placeholder textures and a badly drawn picture of Mickey Mouse (which is undeniably, undoubtedly, super important!)

WHAT'S NEXT?

Malus and Witness Protection will be re-written as they're the main things to work on for now.
RhythmRun is getting a first-person reboot of sorts.
Stryke was also working on a space ship game, but it seems he's stopped working on it.

He has a lot of projects on his plate so it's hard to follow what he's doing.
Stryke's current project is unknown to me, though I speculate he's working on at least something.

Stay tuned for more updates.
