Witness Protection - 4/5/2016 - Closed alpha, gameplay development started, and more

4/5/2016 - CLOSED ALPHA, GAMEPLAY DEVELOPMENT STARTED, AND MORE


We're excited to announce that development of Witness Protection's gameplay has started. The main GUI has been near finalized functionality-wise, and we are moving on to not only the in-game HUD, but the gameplay itself.

Stryke has been thoroughly programming game logic, and I have been working double-time on music, sounds, and models.
In addition, Chris has been working on creating some new sound effects for you to enjoy. Most gunshots will sound loud and proud thanks to him.

LOBBIES REMOVED


Sadly, we will have to cut player lobbies from the game. These were rooms that you and five other friends could use to queue up and find suitable servers.
Due to technical limitations, we will only be having pre-game rooms. You'll be put into these while connected to a server that hasn't started a match yet.
I've looked into setting up unique codes to connect to these in a more specific manner (friends joining your game) but we'll have to see where it goes.

On a better note, I have a screenshot to show off. I can't disclose a lot, but what I have is exciting.
